The offshore sailing leg is the punctuation. The Circle is the text. Let me explain what I mean by this because it is the dimension of the Naora membership that the person who has not yet joined most consistently underestimates until they are inside it.
The Coastal member has one week per year on the Eighty2. One week out of fifty-two. The offshore sailing life occupies two percent of the year. The other ninety-eight percent of the year is the professional and personal life that the offshore reference is supposed to improve.
The question the programme needed to answer when we were building it was: what happens to the offshore reference in the ninety-eight percent of the year that the offshore life is not present to sustain it? The answer is the Circle, the year-round community and programme that keeps the offshore reference alive and developing in the days between the legs.

What the Circle Does Between Legs
The digital sessions several times per year bring the Circle together in the private format that the public event cannot produce, the distinguished speaker in the conversation that is available only to members, on the topics that the Naora member’s professional and personal life most consistently requires: leadership, financial strategy, entrepreneurship, purpose, physical and mental performance.
The sessions are not the content that the podcast or the conference provides at scale. They are the specific quality of the honest conversation that the small, private, carefully selected audience enables and that the large public event prevents.
The personal coaching keeps the development that the offshore experience initiates moving in the direction the member needs it to move. The eight areas, leadership and decision-making, entrepreneurship, financial strategy, purpose and direction, startup and venture, relationships and communication, crypto and digital assets, physical and mental capital, are the areas that the offshore experience consistently surfaces as the ones the member most needs to work on when the offshore context has removed the professional infrastructure that was managing the gap between the person and the work the gap was covering.
The coaching is the bridge between the offshore revelation and the professional application.
The onshore gatherings in the ports the circumnavigation reaches, the Long Table in the city or the coastal town where the route brings the Circle together, are the physical reunion of the community that the digital platform maintains between meetings. The people who were at the Long Table in the Banda Sea anchorage meet again at the Long Table in Cartagena or Papeete or Galle.
The offshore reference they share is the foundation of the conversation. The year between the meetings is the content. The Circle is the reason the year between the meetings is the year it is.
