The Coastal Membership: Everything You Receive When You Step Into the Naora Journey

The Coastal membership is the beginning. One intentional week per year aboard the Eighty2 on the circumnavigation, combined with the full membership in the Naora Circle, the community that extends well beyond the time spent at sea and that deepens between crossings, between harbours, between seasons.

The one-time membership fee is €3,000. The annual participation is €9,000. What these two amounts unlock is significantly more than a week on a sailing boat.

The Membership Card and Digital Access

The physical membership card is the first thing that arrives. Not a digital confirmation — a physical card, the tangible object that marks the entry into the Naora Circle in the specific way that the things worth belonging to have always used the physical object as the marker of the belonging.

With the card comes the full digital access to the private Circle platform on desktop and mobile: the platform where the leg availability is managed, the digital sessions are registered for, the onshore events are booked, the partner network is explored, and the community of the members who are on the same journey from different positions along the route is available year-round regardless of whether the member is currently aboard.

The Digital Sessions

Several times per year, the Naora Circle gathers digitally for a private session with a speaker who has something worth saying. Not a panel. Not a presentation. A conversation, intimate, small in format, significant in substance. The speakers come from a wide range of worlds: finance, business, offshore sailing, art, exploration, entrepreneurship, science, leadership.

The qualification for the invitation is not the position or the title but the specific quality of the person who has lived what they are going to talk about rather than studied it.

What is said in the digital sessions stays within the Circle. The sessions are for members and invited guests only, there is no recording distributed to the broader world, no summary posted to social media. The value of the session is the specific quality of the honest conversation that the private and contained format produces, and that the public platform consistently prevents because the public platform requires the speaker to perform the institutional version of their position rather than the personal version of their thinking.

The Coastal member has full access to every digital session from the day the membership is activated. Whether the member is on board, at home, or somewhere in between, the sessions are accessible from anywhere. Distance disappears. The connection remains.

Personal Coaching

Every member of the Circle has access to personal coaching: discreet, focused, and tailored to what matters most at that moment. Not as therapy, but as a conversation with someone who sees further. The coaching covers eight areas that the specific profile of the Naora member most consistently requires:

Leadership and decision-making — navigating complex choices under pressure or uncertainty, building the clarity of thinking that the decisive action requires.

Entrepreneurship and growth — from idea to structure, from growth to sustainability, for founders and operators and builders at every stage.

Crypto and digital assets — digital asset strategy, Web3 positioning, and navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of the alternative financial world.

Purpose and direction — what drives you, what you want to leave behind, for the person who looks beyond the next step and needs the conversation that the professional context does not produce.

Financial strategy — personal wealth management, investment logic, and building the long-term security that extends beyond market noise.

Startup and venture — early-stage thinking, fundraising, product-market fit, and the mindset of building from zero.

Relationships and communication — how you speak, listen, and connect, in business and beyond.

Physical and mental capital — energy, focus, and resilience as the foundation for the performance that the Naora member’s professional life requires.

The coaching is not a module or a programme with a fixed structure. It is the specific conversation that the specific moment requires, available from the first day of the membership.

The Onshore Gatherings and the Long Table

Gatherings take place at key moments in the journey, aligned with where the expedition moves, in locations chosen with care. Well connected without being obvious. Members arrive from the yacht or from different parts of the world. The transition between the two is seamless. Time on the water, exploration ashore, unplanned moments. Nothing tightly scheduled, but everything aligns.

Every gathering includes the Long Table: a long table, local food, shared presence. One member is invited to open the conversation, not as a speaker but as someone sharing something they understand deeply. It can be business, finance, sailing, exploration, or something entirely personal. Anything that has been lived, not just learned. There is no format, no presentation, no expectation. Just a starting point. What follows is never the same twice.

Evenings bring the Circle together, conversation deepens, something is always shared but never forced. People leave gradually. No formal closing. The gathering dissolves naturally and continues elsewhere.

The Rituals

Over time, certain moments return. They accumulate weight, not because they are elaborate but because they repeat. The First Night Watch: the first offshore watch of a new crossing, shared between members. The Logbook: an ongoing physical record of the journey, written by the people who are living it, some entries long, some a single line.

The First Ocean Crossing: the completion of a member’s first full ocean crossing, a quiet but significant threshold acknowledged by the Circle. Crossing the Equator: the time-honoured maritime tradition, celebrated with a brief ceremony and recorded for every member present. The Postcard: at every port of call, a handwritten card sent to a random member of the Circle, someone who may be far away but is never forgotten.

The Partner Network and the Naora Welcome Kit

Privileged access to the curated partner network, the brands and services that are genuinely aligned with the offshore sailing life and the community that lives it. The welcome kit: the curated selection of Naora essentials prepared specifically for the time at sea, provided as part of the membership rather than as the logistics problem the member has to solve before boarding.

And the Naora maritime attire, designed for the Circle, refined and timeless and understated: not a uniform but a shared reference, a way to recognise one another without needing an introduction.

The Week on the Water

One week per year aboard the Eighty2. Availability opens sixty days before departure. The Circle platform shows the available legs and the member selects the combination that works. The personal onboarding guidance, the pre-boarding logistics package, and the preparation support for the chosen leg are all part of the membership.

Cabin accommodation, crew, chef, and the full onboard experience — the morning swim, the diving programme, Richard’s galley, the evening at anchor — are covered by the annual participation. The Coastal membership is the first chapter. The Chapter that comes after it, for the member who understands what the first week produced, is an upgrade away at any time.
