Most luxury experiential products answer the cost question with deliberate vagueness, because the vagueness performs a function: it filters out the people who cannot afford the product without requiring the product to name a price that might filter out people who can afford it but who react negatively to the number before understanding the value. We do not operate this way. The cost question deserves a direct answer, and the direct answer deserves the context that makes it meaningful rather than just a number on a page.
The Naora membership structure has four tiers, each reflecting a different level of engagement with the voyage and a different allocation of days and access. The Coastal membership starts at a €3,000 one-time contribution and €9,000 per year for one week.
The Offshore membership at €5,000 one-time and €29,000 per year for up to 40 days, with concierge support, priority cabin, and a ten-day carry-over.
The Ocean Explorer at €5,000 one-time and €59,000 per year for up to 100 days, with single occupancy included, 30-day early access, 20-day carry-over, and transferable days. The Naora Season and Bluewater Private options are available on request for the full regional chapter and exclusive use respectively.
The Comparison That Makes the Number Meaningful
The number without the comparison is not useful. The comparison that makes it useful is not the comparison with the budget sailing holiday, which is a different product at a different price for different reasons. It is the comparison with the alternatives that the person who is considering Naora is actually choosing between.
The equivalent luxury charter of a 24-metre crewed catamaran in the Mediterranean costs between €25,000 and €45,000 per week depending on the vessel and the season, before provisioning, before fuel, before the additional costs that charter pricing structures consistently add after the headline number. That charter provides the boat and the crew and the destinations.
It does not provide the community, the Circle membership, the five-year route, the invitation-only selection process that determines who is aboard, or the offshore sites that the charter fleet cannot reach.
The Naora Offshore membership at €29,000 per year provides up to 40 days of this across the full five-year circumnavigation route. The per-day comparison is not the point. The value comparison across what each option actually produces is.
What the Cost Includes
The Naora membership cost includes the cabin, the full board from the chef using fresh local market provisions, the professional crew and captain for the full duration of the member’s time aboard, the diving programme including unlimited tank fills from the 300-bar onboard compressor, the tender use for shore excursions, and the Circle membership that exists between passages as well as during them.
It does not include flights to the boarding port, which the member arranges independently, or the personal expenses ashore during port stops.
